Bad Ass Women | Carrie Tollefson
Olympian Carrie Tollefson on a lifetime of living the running lifestyle at the highest level.
The running community needs strong voices. This fall, across the country runners of all ages will be aiming to achieve the marathon goals they’ve been working so hard to achieve while high school and college cross country runners will be banding together as teams to run as fast as they can over hills and muddy fields. Along the way, thousands will cheer them on, but few, if any, will have a voice as strong and powerful as Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
Carrie is not only the voice of many marathons throughout the country as a television commentator, she is also one of the running community’s strongest advocates, notably helping and supporting runners of all ages and abilities. In her home state of Minnesota, she seems to know everyone who ever laced up a pair of shoes.
That is perhaps the most telling aspect about Carrie- no matter how fast you’re, she’ll be rooting for you to reach your goals. After a lifetime of running through ups and downs, she knows that power of a strong group of like-minded, positive individuals all pulling in the same direction.
This fall, support each other and go out and smash your goals. Whether you know it or not, you’ll certainly have one Olympian cheering for you.
